Overview

The Borneo Rainforest Lodge stands beside the Danum River in Sabah. It sits within the Danum Valley Conservation Area, which covers 43,800 hectares of untouched lowland rainforest. This area shelters diverse wildlife, including over 340 bird species, 124 mammals, 72 reptiles, and 56 amphibians. Each hectare holds around 200 plant species.

The lodge offers 31 private chalets, each with a fan and attached bathroom. The maximum capacity is 60 guests per day. Stays include all meals.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

Lahad Datu Airport arrival and registration at 8.30 am.
Depart at 9.30 am for Danum Valley, gravel road drive.
Arrive and check in at the lodge by 12.00 pm.
Lunch served at the lodge restaurant.
2.30 pm, attend a slide briefing at conference room.
3.00 pm, begin trek on forest trails and canopy walkway.
Walkway measures 300 meters long, highest point at 26 meters.
Dinner at 7.00 pm in the lodge dining area.
8.30 pm, join night drive to spot nocturnal wildlife.
Stay overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge.

Day 2 :

Breakfast at 7.00 am in lodge dining area.
9.00 am, start jungle trek to Coffin Cliff site.
Continue to viewpoint for panoramic forest scenery.
Descend to Jacuzzi Pool for a refreshing swim.
Lunch served at 12.30 pm in lodge restaurant.
3.00 pm, choose afternoon trek or river tubing activity.
Dinner at 7.00 pm in lodge dining area.
8.30 pm, join guided night walk to find night creatures.
Stay overnight at Borneo Rainforest Lodge.

Day 3 :

Breakfast at 8.00 am, enjoy leisure morning time.
Lunch at 12.00 pm in the lodge restaurant.
Check out at 12.30 pm, depart to Lahad Datu.
Drive back takes about two and a half hours.
