Mulu National Park is Sarawak’s crown jewel and a true natural wonder. Covering 544 square kilometers, it is the largest national park in Sarawak. It features many rivers and pristine jungle streams flowing through untouched rainforest. The park’s tallest peaks include Gunung Mulu, Gunung Api, and Gunung Benarat.
Hidden beneath these mountains lies one of the world’s largest limestone cave systems. Mulu’s caves set world records, including Clearwater Cave, Southeast Asia’s longest, and Deer Cave, the largest cave passage. Sarawak Chamber is the biggest natural chamber in the world. Over 360 kilometers of tunnels have been mapped, but much remains unexplored.
These caves began forming around five million years ago through water erosion. Rivers shaped underground passages, carried limestone debris, and created stunning formations over time.
Beyond the caves, Mulu offers rich wildlife and thrilling outdoor activities. The Pinnacles, sharp limestone spikes on Gunung Api, reward hikers with spectacular views.
Mulu’s biodiversity and massive cave system make it a unique and unforgettable adventure.
