2D1N Rafflesia Adventure (Ex- Cameron Highlands)

How to make a Booking?

Overview

This special tour offers a rare chance to see the world’s largest flower — the Rafflesia. Besides Borneo and Sumatra, this unique plant can also be found in Cameron Highlands. The bloom is unpredictable and short-lived, lasting only about six days. You need luck to catch it at its best.

The Rafflesia takes 6 to 9 months to grow from bud to bloom, just like a baby. It usually has five petals, sometimes six, and often opens at night. The flower needs 24 to 48 hours to fully open. The best time to view it is between day one and day three. By the fourth day, it starts turning darker and loses its charm. Harsh weather or strong sunlight can make it wither faster.

This package suits visitors with limited time in Cameron Highlands. Besides seeing the Rafflesia, you will also visit an aborigine village, learn about their blowpipe hunting skills, and enjoy a 2–3 hour trek through the rainforest canopy to reach the flower site.
